COLIBRI GUESTHOUSE - Praslin

Perched on the hillside at Pointe Cabris, overlooking the Baie St. Anne jetty, Round and La Digue Islands, Colibri offers a restful place for your holidays in comfortable rooms spread in several bungalows harmoniously blending in the environment. 

Situated in an almost attic space accessed by wooden steps, the honeymoon room is the essence of romance with in rest-rained and private view of the sea. The sound of the waves filter into the room creating the perfect setting for a romantic holiday. From the reception area there are steps leading down to a thatched roof terrace by the sea. Leading out from the terrace is a wooden pontoon for sun-tanning, fishing or just relaxing and enjoying the view of islands in the distance. A typical restaurant to savour Seychelles culinary specialities.

All Colibri rooms have the following amenities:

All rooms are strictly non-smoking, and punishable by Seychelles law with a fine of up to SCR5000. Smoking is permitted on their balcony.

Restaurant

Breakfast – Daily between 7.30 – 9.30

We serve a continental breakfast which can be taken between 07.30 – 09.30. If clients leave the hotel earlier than our breakfast time and they require early breakfast clients are asked to inform the reception a day in advance.

Lunch – Daily between 12.30 – 14.30

We serve a small selection of sandwiches, salads and local dishes during lunch.  Lunch at our pool is also available.

Dinner - Daily served from 19.30

Our restaurant serves a different set menu every evening that consists of a starter, a main course of a choice of meat or fish and a dessert. Coffee, tea or citronelle are included. During our dinners service, we do not offer a la carte services.

No Room Service

We do not provide room service. If clients require anything from our restaurant, we ask that clients visit the restaurant where our staff will assist you.

Beach Towels – CLIENTS ARE ADVISED TO BRING THEIR OWN BEACH TOWELS

The hotel does not provide beach towels as we do not have a beach. We provide Pool Towels only as we have a Pool. These pool towels should however not be removed from the Hotel.

Gala Dinners

A supplement will be charged to guests booked on Half Board for gala events (Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day and Easter Day) payable directly at the hotel.

Superior Room Wooden with Sea view (x2) – (~45m2 incl. balcony) – Triple

Our Superior Room Wooden with Sea view are large rooms (~ 30m2) with a wooden ceiling and floor.  It is located on the waterfront. It has a balcony (~8m2) from where panoramic views of the sea and surrounding islands can be observed. The bathroom (~6m2) features a granite shower.

Bed size: 1 king size bed (180cm x 200cm), and additional single bed can be installed for triple occupancy.

L'isola : Praslin

Le Seychelles hanno scelto Praslin per presentare il loro volto più avvenente. I suoi paesaggi di grande sensibilità ed armonia hanno certamente influenzato il carattere dei suoi abitanti, fatti di dolcezza, gentilezza e discrezione.
 
Probabilmente è, insieme a sua sorella maggiore Mahé, l’isola più aperta al turismo. Ciononostante Praslin ha conservato perfettamente la sua personalità e la sua natura. Le vere ricchezze, come la celebre Vallée de Mai, ultimo luogo al mondo dove crescono i famosi Cocchi di mare, maliziosamente battezzati « Cocos fesses » da Henry de Monfreid, sono gelosamente protette.
 
La presenza di jeep in affitto, lungo una piccola rete stradale simpatica,  è misurata sufficientemente per non costituire un’aggressione. Praslin chiede soltanto due cose: accogliere i suoi ammiratori e restare questa perla dell’Oceano Indiano.
 
Quando Lazare Picault sbarcò a Praslin nel 1744 fu talmente impressionato dall’incredibile e lussureggiante vegetazione che la chiamò "l’Ile aux Palmes". Vecchio riparo di pirati e di mercanti arabi, Praslin a saputo conservare la sua autenticità ed una natura intatta. Dopo Mahé questa è l’isola più aperta al turismo.

 
Le ultime ricchezze ecologiche come la Vallée de Mai, unico luogo al mondo dove cresce il cocco di mare, maliziosamente battezzato " Coco Fesse " per le sue forme evocatrici  da Henry de Monfreid, come anche diverse specie di piante ed uccelli endemici tra i più rari al mondo, sono gelosamente protette.
 
A 15 minuti di volo (36 km) da Mahé e 30 minuti in barca (6 km) da La Digue, Praslin, con i suoi 6500 abitanti, è la seconda isola per grandezza dell’arcipelago e misura 11 chilometri per 4.
Approfitterete pienamente delle sue magnifiche ed indimenticabili insenature e spiagge, in particolare Anse Lazio, (una delle 5 spiagge più belle del mondo)... Su quest’isola la dolcezza di vivere è leggendaria e resta una delle perle dell’Oceano Indiano.
Praslin è diventata la  "Porta " delle  Seychelles  perl’estensione del suo aeroporto e della sua pista di atterraggio nel 2001, permettendo così di connettere e combinare collegamenti con le altre isole dell’arcipelago.
